Installation instructionsNote:

• If your computer runs satisfactorily now, Lenovo ThinkPad L410 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (64-bit) may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.

Manual InstallThis section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.Downloading file

Click once on the underlined file name. Once Lenovo ThinkPad L410 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (64-bit) is done, some pop-up windows will appear.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.

Choose the directory you would like to Download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the Download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

Extracting files

Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.

Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.

Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click Lenovo ThinkPad L410 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (64-bit).

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.

Installing files

Determining which version is installedDriver:

Click Start, then right-click Computer.

Click Properties.

Click Device Manager from the left pane.

Double-click the Biometric.

Double-click TouchStrip Fingerprint Sensor.

Click the Driver tab. Then you will see the Driver version.

Application:

Click Start, then click Control Panel.

Click Uninstall a program.

Right click the Name tab, then click More.

Click Version, then click OK.

Check the Version value of ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software.
