• If you use windows vista, before applying this BIOS into the system, you should install Windows Vista KB 937500. The information of KB937500 is located in the following Microsofts site.
  To verify if KB937500 is installed properly,
• Click Start, then click Control Panel.
• Find Programs and Features and click. If this option does not exist on the window, choose Classic View to find Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook BIOS update utility for Windows 7.
• On Tasks panel, click on View installed updates.
• Verify that KB937500 is included in the list of installed updates.

Updating the BIOSNotes:

• If your Computer runs satisfactorily now, Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook BIOS update utility for Windows 7 may not be necessary to update the BIOS. To determine if you should update the BIOS, refer to the Determining Which Version is Installed section.
• You need an AC adapter and a charged battery pack.
• Remove the power-on password prior to updating the BIOS in the RDM (Remote Deployment Manager) or similar environment.

Click once on the underlined file name. Once Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook BIOS update utility for Windows 7 is done, some pop-up windows will appear.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Updating the BIOS

Make sure the checkbox next to Install ..... now is checked and click Finish.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Select Update ThinkPad BIOS and follow the instructions on the screen.

After the update has been completed, the program shows a message Flash Update has been successfully completed.... Follow the instructions on the screen to restart the computer.

Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.Unattended UpdateNote: Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook BIOS update utility for Windows 7 is intended for system administrators only. The BIOS is updated without any user interaction.

Refer to the Manual Update section, and download and extract the file.

In the step 12 of the Installing files section, uncheck the checkbox next to Install ..... now, and then click Finish to cancel installation.

At the command line, execute WINUPTP.EXE with the -s option. Example: Path where the files were extractedWINUPTP -s

To view the update result, refer to the WINUPTP.log file created at the same directory of the package.Initializing the BIOSBIOS Initialization is suggested for some problems. To initialize the BIOS settings:

Turn off the computer.

Turn on the computer.

On the System Information window, make sure System Summary is selected in the left side of the window.

Locate the BIOS version/date line in the right side of the window. Lenovo BIOS ID (BIOS version), date will be shown.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.windows xp

Click Start, click All programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and then click System Information.

On the System Information window, make sure System Summary is selected in the left side of the window.

Locate the BIOS version/date line in the right side of the window. Lenovo BIOS ID (BIOS version), date will be shown.

Checking on BIOS Setup

Turn off the computer.

Turn on the computer.
