Requirements

• UDP port 2948 needs to be opened in the firewall for successful activation and provisioning. Depending on the computers firewall and Security settings, the firewalls settings may need to be changed to allow the required communications.
• If you use Access Connections, the following must be installed.
  • ThinkVantage Access Connections for windows 7 version 5.5 or higher.
  • ThinkPad power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/ME/2000/XP/ Vista version 1.60 or higher
    
  • hotkey Features Integration for Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 version 3.02.0000 or higher.
• You may need to re-enter Security information after updating the wireless LAN driver.

Installation InstructionsNotes:

• There are pre-requisites before installing this Software. Click here for the list of pre-requisites.
• If your Computer runs satisfactorily now, Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook Intel WiFi and WiMAX 6250 for Windows 7 may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.

Manual InstallThis section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.Downloading file

Click once on the underlined file name. Once Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook Intel WiFi and WiMAX 6250 for Windows 7 is done, some pop-up windows will appear.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.

Choose the folder you would like to Download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the Download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

Extracting file

Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.

Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.

Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook Intel WiFi and WiMAX 6250 for Windows 7.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.

In the Ready to Install window, click Install. All the necessary files will be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.

Installing files

Open an Windows Explorer and locate the folder selected in the step 9.

Wireless LAN driver

From the WiFi folder, double-click AutoRun.exe file.

Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note:
If you use ThinkVantage Access Connections, Intel PROSet/Wireless component needs to be installed as pre-selected during the above procedure.

WiMAX driver

From the WiMAX folder, double-click AutoRun.exe file.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Restart the Computer.

Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.
Unattended InstallNote: This procedure is intended for System administrators only.

Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files.

At the command line, execute AutoRun.exe with the /QN option

Uninstallation InstructionsNote:

• If winlogon.exe error or any problem occurs after uninstalling the software, re-install any version of the software for problem solving.

Manual Uninstall

Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.

Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.

Make sure View by Category is selected, and click Uninstall a program.

Wireless LAN driver

Select Intel® PROSet/wireless WiFi Software, and click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation.

WIMAX driver

Select Intel® PROSet/wireless WiFi Software, and click Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete uninstallation and restart the computer.

Determining which Version is InstalledPackage

Click Start, then click Control Panel.

Make sure View by Category is selected, and click Uninstall a program.

Click Organize, select Layout, then select Details Pane. The Details Pane will be shown at the bottom of screen.

Select Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software or Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiMAX Software.

Check the product version in the Details Pane.

Wireless LAN Driver and WiMAX Driver

Click Start.

Right-click Computer, and then click Properties.

At the left pane, click Device Manager.

Double-click NETWORK adapters category.

Double click either of the following devices.

• Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN
• Intel(R) Centrino(R) WiMAX 6250

Click the Driver tab.

Check Driver Version.

WiMAX Function Driver

Click Start.

Right-click Computer, and then click Properties.

At the left pane, click Device Manager.

Double-click Intel(R) Centrino(R) WiMAX Adapter category.

Double click Intel(R) Centrino(R) WiMAX 6250 Function Driver.

Click the Driver tab.

Check Driver Version.

The following versions have been released to date. Access Connections for each of those versions are also available.Where;
