Installation InstructionsNotes:

• If your Computer runs satisfactorily now, Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook SmartCard reader driver for Windows 7 (32-bit) may not be necessary to update the Software. To determine if you should update the Software, refer to the Version Information section.

Manual InstallThis section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.Downloading file

Click once on the underlined file name. Once Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook SmartCard reader driver for Windows 7 (32-bit) is done, some pop-up windows will appear.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.

Choose the folder you would like to Download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the Download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

Extracting file

Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.

Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.

Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Notebook SmartCard reader driver for Windows 7 (32-bit).

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.

Click the Driver tab, then click Update Driver Software....

Click Browse MY computer for driver software.

Click Browse..., then {3575} to driver location specified in step 9.

Make sure the checkbox next to Include subfolders is checked and click Next.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.

Finally delete the file saved in Step 4.Uninstallation InstructionsManual Uninstall

Start windows 7 32-bit and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator.

Click Start, click Control Panel and open System and Security.

Click System, then on the right side of the window, click Device Manager.

Double-click on Smart CARD READERS group to expand the category.

Double-click on Integrated Smart card reader.

Select the Driver tab.

Click on the Uninstall button.

When prompted, confirm the operation by checking Delete the driver software for this device and then click Ok.

Uninstallation is now finished.

Check the removal

Start Windows 7 32-bit.

Click Start, click Control Panel and open System and Security.

Click System, then on the right side of the window, click Device Manager.

Double-click on Smart Card READERS group, verify that no Integrated Smart Card Reader appears any longer.

Determining which version is installedTo check the version of software, perform the following steps.

Click Start.

Right-click Computer, and then click Properties.

At the left pane, click Device Manager.

Double-click the Smart Card READERS category.

Double-click Integrated Smart Card Reader.

Click the Driver tab.

Check Driver Version.
