Installation instructionsNote: If your Computer runs satisfactorily now, Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (32-bit) may not be necessary to update the software. Click once on the underlined file name. Once Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (32-bit) is done, some pop-up windows will appear.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.

Choose the folder you would like to Download the file to and click the Save button. A different window will appear and the Download will begin and complete. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.

Extracting file

Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges on the target Computer.

Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.

In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to select a different folder, click Browse.

Installing files

Make sure the checkbox next to Install ..... now is checked and click Finish.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.

In Step 11 of the Installing files section, uncheck the checkbox next to Install ..... now, and then click Finish to cancel installation.

Determining which Version is Install

Click Start, then go to Control Panel.

Go to Hardware and SOUND then select Lenovos Notebook Fingerprint Reader.

Click About menu. Then you will see the Driver version.

1. Select Lenovo notebook category
2. Find ThinkPad X301 model drivers
3. Select Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for your Windows 7 (32-bit)

4. Download and Install Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software for Windows 7 (32-bit)
5. Reboot to finish Lenovo ThinkPad X301 Notebook Lenovo Fingerprint Software installation.
