• MICROSOFT® windows vista® Service Pack 1 (SP1) must be installed before installing the SONY Notebook Utilities. If you have performed a clean install of the MICROSOFT® windows vista® 64-bit operating System (i.e., installed from a commercial, off-the-shelf, version rather than using the Recovery Wizard or Recovery Media Kit), please install Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) using Windows Update or from the Microsoft web site.
• During the installation of Sony VGN-CS190 Notebook Sony® Notebook Utilities for Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no Other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all Other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• Sony VGN-CS190 Notebook Sony® Notebook Utilities for Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

If you have performed a clean install of the Microsoft® Windows Vista® 64-bit operating System (i.e., installed from a commercial, off-the-shelf, version rather than using the Recovery Wizard or Recovery Media Kit), please ensure that all original Device Drivers from the SONY support site have been installed on the computer before installing the Sony Notebook Utilities.

Sony VGN-CS190 Notebook Sony® Notebook Utilities for Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit is not necessary to revert to the original Drivers if you have properly installed updates from the Sony support site.

To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.

Download the SOAOTH-44100000-64.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note Sony VGN-CS190 Notebook Sony® Notebook Utilities for Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit directory for reference).

Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAOTH-44100000-64.EXE file to begin the installation.

At the User Account Control screen, click Continue.

At the Sony Notebook Utilities screen, click Next.

At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click I Agree to continue with the installation.

At the Finish screen, click Finish.
Note: A restart of the computer may be required to complete the installation. If a restart is required, the installation will automatically restart when Windows resumes. If prompted, click OK to restart the computer, and then continue the installation steps.

At the Sony Notebook Utilities screen, click Next.

At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click I Agree to continue with the installation.

At the Finished screen, click Finish.

When prompted, click OK to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony® Notebook Utilities is complete.
